LHRW – An Overview

LHRW – An Overview

The 10th Langstone Harbour Race Weekend was held on Friday 24th – Sunday 26th August with a separate combined club charity event on Monday 27th August.  Thank you to all the competitors for supporting the event and we hope you all enjoyed the racing. We hope our visitors from the the Wanderer Class Owners Association (WCOA), the UK Wayfarer Association (UKWO) and the Lightning 368 Class Association (LCA), also enjoyed their Championship events and had a safe journey home, especially our younger sailors from the Sea Cadets.  It was a shame the the weather thwarted Sundays racing, but the breeze on Monday gave the local sailors a fantastic blast around the cans.

The event is hosted by three sailing clubs which share the waters of Langstone Harbour; Locks SC, Langstone SC and Tudor SC. The event invites dinghy sailors from all across the south coast and beyond to compete in the series of exciting races held within the harbour.

It’s not all about the racing! Each club takes turns to host a social event over the weekend and hopefully there will be something to suit everyone’s tastes.

The results to the 2018 event can be viewed online on the Tudor SC results page, or by clicking the links below:

There are a great selection of photos taken from Saturdays racing on the Tudor SC flickr page – thanks to Daniella Brain in the patrol boat from taking them.  If you would like to use them in your class magazine reports, please feel free, but credit Daniella for them.  If you would like an original copy, or would like a photos removed, please contact dinghies@tudorsailing.org.uk with your request.  Click Here to view the TSC LHRW Photo Page or on the Langstone Harbour Race Weekend Facebook Page
